My art piece was very unique. I would title my work as The Basic Three because I simply took my time to draw and show depth of three basic objects in life. Throughout the process I had to make sure my proportions were correct and that I used the right amount of shading. With using thin lines, I didn’t want to show a sad emotion, but have the emotion be more positive. My goals to achieve for this process was to hit all the vocab words like spacing, which I have trouble with, in my artwork. My overall thoughts of my work were decent. I think I could have been more patient and take my time for the piece.

I thought this art piece was a lot more creative.  I would title this art, The Realism of objects. I brought out the darker lines for the stem in the plant to show that when I saw through the vase I saw that the stem was the darkest part of it. For the transparent vase, I used the thin lines to make lighter lines from the outside to the inside. Finally I used thicker lines on the outside of the bigger vase to portray its definition behind the other vase.

I decided to name my art piece The Under View of "The Bridge". I thought I did very well with the one point perspective. Making it that the bridge really went back to that point where it seems to disappear. I also brought out dark, thick lines in some of the bridge and also the water to show the dark spots to where its moving. Overall, I was really satisfied of the work that I put in for this art piece.

I thought I did a lot better on this work of art. I would name this work The Life of Schmidt. I thought I did very well with highlights and the different shades of light between the background, foreground, and objects that were used. Overall,I think this will be one of my better pieces of art because I devoted a lot of time to make this right.

I really thought I did a lot worse on this portrait that what I was told. I do really like the proportions I used for my portrait and how I did the style of the hair with thick and thin lines. Overall, this could use some more time possibly to touch up like the background and some of the shading and darker values. In conclusion I would name this The Mirror because in some cases if you stare at your own portrait you get that mirror sense to the art work.

I thought I did very well on the two point perspective piece. I did very well on shading each side appropriate to where the lighting is coming from. The one thing I regret is just making a cloud of praying hands and I wish I would have done like a pastor. Overall, I think I did an exceptional job for the two point perspective.

Overall, this was my best art work even though I wasn't a huge fan of charcoal. I would name this artwork The Beautiful Otis because first of all his name is Otis, but with all the white that was used from the picture, it made this picture seem happier and not as depressed. I used Da Vinci's 6 ways of light to perfect this charcoal artwork. I thought the best part of the art work was the base of the charcoal drawing which is the nose, eyes, face, etc. Lastly, the most difficult part was using the white with the black to make not a middle gray but a gray that satisfied me.

For my final art work I decided to use graphite because it goes back to the original to what I started with. As I see it now, I have progressed a lot since I started the class 9 weeks ago. I thought I did very well with the shadows with showing where the light is coming from. The most difficult part was the foreground and the background because they were both very light. Overall I would name this The Great Simple Three.
